Well-Child Visits

Children change and grow so quickly, especially in the first two years of life. To ensure they are thriving and in the best possible health, it is important to schedule regular visits with your pediatrician.

During a well-child visit at A Place to Grow Pediatrics in Yukon, Oklahoma, our board-certified pediatricians will evaluate the physical, mental, behavioral, social, and emotional growth and development of your child. We will:

  • Ensure appropriate developmental milestones are reached in a normal time range
  • Make recommendations if your child is experiencing developmental delays
  • Discuss the growth of your child
  • Discuss nutrition recommendations pertinent to your child’s age and development
  • Discuss relevant health and safety topics with you and your child
  • Perform vision screenings (age 5 and up)
  • Conduct blood pressure screenings (age 3 and up)
  • Answer any questions you have for us

At A Place to Grow Pediatrics, we give vaccines and immunizations following the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations. Here is what you can expect at each well-child visit:

  • 2 weeks – Assessment of achievement of birth weight, monitoring of growth parameters, evaluation of home feeding patterns
  • 2 months – Vaccines: DTaP-Polio-Hep B, HiB, Rotarix, Prevnar; Developmental Assessment Questionnaire; Monitoring of Growth Parameters
