Appointments / Office

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS MY APPOINTMENT?

It is our policy that after 3 no-shows we have the right to release you from our care. If you are unable to make an appointment, please call us within 24 hours of your appointment and we will be happy to cancel or reschedule your appointment for you. There is a $25 fee for missed appointments, if not cancelled 24 hours in advance.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?
We are open Monday – Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. We are closed from noon to 1 pm for lunch.
WILL I ALWAYS SEE THE SAME PROVIDER?

We try our best to schedule you with your assigned provider. However, when calling in for a same-day appointment, we cannot always guarantee which provider you will see.

MUST A PARENT ACCOMPANY A CHILD ON HIS/HER VISIT?

All children and adolescents under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. If you wish to have someone else bring in your child, please let us know so we can help update your consent form for you.

WILL YOU SEE MY CHILD IN THE HOSPITAL? WHAT HOSPITALS DO YOU GO TO?

Our providers will only see your child in the hospital if they are a newborn. Dr. Farrow, Dr. Loveless and Dr. Bratcher see newborns at Mercy Health Center. Upon release from the hospital you may call our office to schedule a follow-up visit.

HOW QUICKLY CAN I GET AN APPOINTMENT?

We offer same-day sick appointments. As for well-child check-ups, they are usually available within a few weeks.

WILL YOU SEE WALK-INS?

We kindly ask that you call for an appointment. Walk-ins disrupt the flow of the office and can expect to have a long wait. If you happen to walk in and there is an appointment slot available, we will do our best to accommodate, but we can’t guarantee you will be seen without an extended wait.

DO YOU ACCEPT ONE TIME VISITS OR WILL YOU GIVE SECOND OPINIONS?

No, we only accept patients who have the intent of establishing care with one of the providers in our office.

WHAT DO I DO IF MY CHILD IS SICK AFTER HOURS OR ON WEEKENDS?

We have a Pediatric Nurse Triage service available after hours and on weekends. Please call the main office number and you will be directed to the Nurse Triage line. Should they need to get in touch with your doctor they will be able to do so at that time. If it is an emergency please go to the ER at the Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Insurance and Payment

WHAT INSURANCES DO YOU TAKE?

Please call the office to ask what insurances we take, as plans do change. However, we accept most all major insurance companies including SoonerCare, BCBS, Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, Coventry, HealthChoice, UMR, just to name a few. There are way too many to list, so please call the office to check what plans we accept.

ARE THERE ANY INSURANCE PLANS THAT YOU DO NOT ACCEPT?

We currently do not accept Tricare or Global Health. Please call our office to find out a more specific list of insurance plans that we accept.

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept cash and checks, as well as Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

WILL THE SERVICES YOU PROVIDE BE COVERED BY MY INSURANCE?

As a patient, it is in your best interest to know your medical plan coverage and responsibility for any deductibles, coinsurance, or copay amounts. We strive to provide services that are covered by those health plans we accept. However, as all medical plans are different, you may be responsible for additional copays or deductible, and coinsurance may be applied.

IF I HAVE COMMERCIAL INSURANCE, DO I HAVE TO PAY A COPAY FOR EACH VISIT?

The majority of visits do require a copay. However, please check with your insurance company to be certain.

WHEN DO I HAVE TO PAY MY COPAY?

Your copay will be required at the time of your visit.

WILL THERE BE ANY CHARGES FOR LAB TESTS THAT ARE DONE OUTSIDE OF YOUR OFFICE?

Yes, if you are required to go to a lab for additional testing, or if we have to send off a specimen to an outside lab for testing, then you should expect to receive a bill from that lab as well. They are a separate entity from our office.

Forms, Medical Records, Referrals, and Prescriptions

HOW DO I OBTAIN MEDICAL RECORDS? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

You can call our office to request medical records. The records can only be released to a patient, parent, or a legal guardian after receiving a signed medical record request form. This form can be found in the patient forms section of our website. Please give us 5-10 business days if you are requesting a complete copy of all of your medical records.

HOW DO I OBTAIN SHOT RECORDS FOR MY CHILD?

Please call our office to request a shot record. This can also be done at the time of your visit.

HOW DO I OBTAIN A REFERRAL TO A SPECIALIST?

Please call our office and ask to be transferred to the nurse who handles referrals. Leave a detailed voice message along with a return phone number so she can reach you if she has any questions. Please allow up to 2 weeks for your referral appointment to be scheduled. Our office processes referrals immediately, but we have no control over how fast the provider you are being referred to will respond to our request.

HOW DO I OBTAIN A PRESCRIPTION REFILL?

Please have your pharmacy fax a refill request to (405) 265-3905. You may also call the office and leave a voice message with the nursing staff. However, it may take up to 24 hours to refill your medication if you leave a voice message.

IS MY CHILD REQUIRED TO HAVE VACCINATIONS TO BE SEEN AT YOUR CLINIC?

We feel very strongly in all children being vaccinated. In order to be seen at this clinic you must agree to comply with our vaccination policy. You can find a copy of our vaccination policy within the new patient registration packet.

WHAT IF MY CHILD IS NOT UP TO DATE ON HIS/HER VACCINATIONS?

If this is your first time here, we have a specific catch-up schedule that we will follow to get your child up-to-date with all of his or her required vaccinations.
